:edit3: To fix this issue, Timer A needs to be set to 498 (FT +76) for 23.976 exact and 440 (FT +10) for 60 exact. :edit2: Ok, just figured out that this bug has been in the nightly since 7d fps override was implemented. Does 700D shoot 4K Canon 700D Video Features Full HD resolution of Canon 700D will be adequate in most of the situations. How exactly does fps override cause LV to stretch? Or is this a new feature I completely missed?! I just downloaded the latest nightly, same thing.
Canon 7d firmware magic lantern update#
:edit: Yeah definitely a bug in the fps override control. Upgrade to newest version firmware on you device, canon 7d firmware magic lantern update you current version firmware to latest version, download newest. As soon Magic Lantern for 7D gets out of alpha stage and safe for. This means, no data in flash must be changed, which will ensure that users dont risk to brick their cameras. For the first alpha releases we want to load Magic Lantern from a firmware update file (.fir) only. At first, I noticed this while testing out different settings in 640x480 mode, going to do some more tests soon as I charge my battery. This video shows the next important step in supporting Canon EOS 7D. Mlv settings-Īfter messing with it a little bit more, the black and white levels get all wacky sometimes and the exposure is super glitchy. So I set the fps to 48, and Timer A back to 422. If your 7D came new fron Canon with 2.0.5 installed there is a slight chance it won't backdate. EDIT: If your camera had previous firmware versions, it is very easy to backdate and then later upgrade firmware versions.
I noticed when I set the cam to 1280x720 60p, and set the fps override to 23.976 exact fps, the liveview display was stretched vertically, so when recording it and playing it back records it in normal aspect! Timer A under 23.976 exact is 422 (FT -76). The 7D still needs to be running 2.0.3 in order to run Magic lantern. When I play it back, the footage is normal aspect, no stretching required! I'm kinda running on no sleep in 2 days, I need someone to confirm this ASAP. Magic Lantern is essentially a software add-on that includes many features that are not included in the base menu system for Canon EOS cameras.
